So, today we\u2019re going to\nlook at some of the most common misconceptions behind <a>the\naffiliate program practice. AND explain the reality, so you know what to really\nexpect. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Five Main Myths\nof Working with Affiliate Networks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. It\u2019s easy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can do affiliate marketing. We\u2019ve said that on this blog time and time again. But <em>that does not mean that it is easy. <\/em>And that\u2019s what most people think. It\u2019s not<em> difficult<\/em> either. But it does require some effort. And one of the most common problems people face is that they expect to be able to just add a couple of affiliate links to their websites and watch the money roll in. While it is possible to earn some cash that way, you\u2019ll earn much, much more if you <a href=\"https:\/\/www.affiliate2day.com\/blog\/five-hacks-get-results-affiliate-programs\">work at it<\/a>. You\u2019ll need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.affiliate2day.com\/blog\/write-copy-power-affiliate-program\">target your copy<\/a>, research and run ad campaigns, think about working on social media, and much more besides. None of that is particularly hard to do. But it does take time and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. It\u2019s a scam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If something is new and people don\u2019t understand it, it\u2019s often perceived as a scam. And many people who start working with an online affiliate program go in, thinking that it\u2019s going to be easy. When it\u2019s not, they believe that they\u2019ve been scammed into providing free advertising. They haven\u2019t. They\u2019ve just not known how to get the best from the system. There are no end of <a href=\"https:\/\/charlesngo.com\/thebesttools\/\">resources available to help you earn with affiliate programs<\/a>. But if you don\u2019t know what they are or where to start, it can be easy to think that you\u2019ve been fooled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. It\u2019s only profitable for big players<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sure, anyone can work with affiliate networks, but it\u2019s only\nthe influencers with millions of followers who stand to make any money, right?\nWrong. Of course, the more people who see your ads and affiliate links, the\nbetter. But pay per sale links only work if people click on them and make a\npurchase. And if you\u2019re creative and willing to put in the time it takes to come\nup with original ad campaigns, or content that people want to read, you are as\ncapable of turning a profit in your niche area as the next person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. You must have a website to work with an <a>affiliate partnership program<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s true that most people who successfully work in affiliate marketing do have a blog or website. Somewhere to build content, establish a niche and draw an audience to. But you can do very well <a href=\"https:\/\/www.affiliate2day.com\/blog\/money-from-love-making-money-from-dating-affiliate-programs-without-a-blog-or-website\">working on other platforms alone<\/a>. The key isn\u2019t in having a platform to work from. But in creating content based around your chosen affiliate area that will keep people interested and prompt them to follow your links. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Affiliate marketing is more about luck than judgement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If someone else is succeeding, apparently doing the same thing as you while you\u2019re struggling to get by, it\u2019s easy to attribute the difference to luck. The reality is that they\u2019re probably doing something slightly different. Maybe they\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.milesbeckler.com\/niching-down\/\">researched their niche<\/a> better than you. Maybe they\u2019ve put more thought into the affiliate networks they\u2019re working with. Perhaps they\u2019re using different tools. But whatever it is that they\u2019re doing, it\u2019s powered by judgement rather than the luck of the draw. And if you spend a little time reviewing your strategy, the likelihood is that you\u2019ll get there too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you look at any business from the outside, it can seem\nincomprehensible.
